inkjet printer

inkjet printer A printer which uses small bubbles of quick-drying ink to produce the printing. The ink is held in small containers, called ink cartridges or print cartridges. The printed image is created by forcing droplets of ink from the cartridge through fine holes onto the paper, forming the characters by patterns of dots. It can print text or graphics. A monochrome inkjet printer will print diagrams using shades of grey and characters in black. Colour inkjet printers usually have four separate cartridges for cyan, magenta, yellow and black.
